Movie Trailer

This promotional video gives a little insight to the project and was created previous to actually shooting the film.
However, the style and story of film is the most important aspect and we hope that this video will help you better understand Herro’s story. |
When the film itself is completed, it will have a blend of cinema verite styles mixed with a narrative over beautiful cinematography, colorful shots from Herro’s past, and first-hand accounts from a variety of people who know her, while the film will also allow Herro herself to “reflect” on her journeys from childhood to present day, as she and her old pal, filmmaker Kirk Roos explore the “American Dream.” From their hometown of Minot, ND to the White House to Kurdistan, Iraq, the footage will represent a good sampling of Herro’s life. You’ll meet her relatives 1,000’s of miles away who hadn’t seen her for 30 years, other refugees living in America, Herro’s co-workers (even her current boss!), her family in American and friends, all who give more insight to an American Herro.
